Learn how to receive up to $2,085 / month from VA

American Flag

Did you know that approximately one-third of all veterans who are 65 years of age and older may qualify for up to $2,085 a month in additional income through Pension?

Yet, according to government statistics, only five percent of potentially eligible veterans are actually receiving the Pension benefit. This Pension is also known as the "aid and attendance benefit." This little-known source of money for paying long term care costs is available to veterans who served on active duty during a period of war or to the single surviving spouses of these veterans.

If you qualify, this valuable source of revenue can be used to pay children, other relatives, friends, or services provided by a home care agency, which may help prevent or delay admission to a nursing home. These funds can even help with the cost of assisted living or other long-term care costs which can be substantial. Imagine having extra money you didn't even know existed!

Weatherby & Associates, PCMy firm, Weatherby & Associates, PC, assists veterans and their surviving spouses and families in understanding how to obtain long-term care benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The attorneys in our firm were among the first in CT to have received accreditation by the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide assistance to veterans by helping them plan for the future. I'm listed on the Web site of the Office of the General Counsel, http://www.va.gov/ogc/apps/accreditation/index.html.

I would be happy to provide you with information regarding the "aid and attendance benefit" and to work with vets and their families who may require assistance.
